Opening Prayer: The Opening Prayer was given by Chaplain Sharp.

Visitors: Several noted visitors attended the Chapter Christmas Party.
Approval of Previous Minutes: Comrade Anton made the
motion to accept the previous minutes, dated 25 November 2014, as written. Motion was seconded by Comrade
Hickonbottom. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Motion was made by Comrade
Anton to accept the Treasurer’s Report subject to audit. Comrade Lied seconded the motion. Motion carried. (One deposit for $650.00 was left off the
report, but noted. The deposit will be on the next Treasurer’s Report.)
Chaplain’s Report: Chaplain Sharp reported no members distress to
report.
Correspondence: None noted. .
Committee Reports: Lazer Ladies and the
Golden Corral Restaurant will be nominated for the Annual Department Awards.

requested volunteers for the upcoming Gun Show to be held 20-21 December 2014
at Cashman Field.
Old Business: Comrade Tobey is still building an e-mail
address book for member’s chapter e-mail and information. If you are not
receiving e-mail from LiteTank@aol.com, then drop a note to that address with subject:
"DAV Chapter 13 e-Mail", and provide your name and contact
phone number.
New Business: Deferred until the 27
January 2015 general membership meeting.

submitted a transfer request to Chapter 13. Membership voted unanimously to
accept his transfer.
Approval of Previous Minutes: Comrade Anton made the
motion to accept the previous minutes, dated 28 October 2014, as written. Motion was seconded by Comrade
Hickonbottom. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Motion was made by Comrade
Anton to accept the Treasurer’s Report subject to audit. Comrade Lied seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Chaplain’s Report: Chaplain Sharp reported that Comrade Tom Corbett
has been diagnosed with cancer. A get
well card will be sent.
Correspondence: None noted. .
Committee Reports: Our DAV Chapter 13 Christmas Party will be held
here at the VFW Post 100047, Sunday, 7 December 2014, Pearl Harbor Day, at
1300.
Comrade Anton gave a
Golden Corral Restaurant report. $1198.50 was donated at the drive held at the
Golden Corral Restaurant during the weekend preceding and including Military
Monday, 17 November 2014. A free meal
was given to all veterans, 1700 – 2100, on Military Monday. A “Thank You” and “Well Done” to all who
volunteered their time to man the donation tables at the Golden Corral
Restaurant.
Comrade Anton gave a Nevada Day Parade report. This was the 150th anniversary of
the state of Nevada. Comrade Anton also gave a report on the
Veterans Day Parade held downtown Las Vegas.
Thank you to all who volunteered their time to participate.
Comrade Henkel
requested volunteers for the upcoming Gun Show to be held 20-21 December 2014

Old Business: Two automobiles were donated
to Chapter 13 and disposed for $650.00
This money will be transferred to the Department Van Fund when
needed.
Comrade Lewis Stephens donated $200.00
to Chapter 13. A thank you letter was sent.
Comrade Les Fursetzer donated $500.00 to go towards the Chapter 13
Christmas Party, to be held on 7 December 2014.

New Business: Junior Vice Commander
James McQuown has submitted his resignation as Junior Vice Commander due to
failing health. His resignation was
accepted and we wish him well.
Comrade Lanahan volunteered to fill the vacated Junior Vice
Commander position for the remaining term.
Comrade Anton made the motion to accept and it was seconded by Comrade
Plank. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Comrade Carson to purchase $500.00 worth of
batteries for disabled veterans scooters or wheelchairs. The motion was
seconded by Comrade Plank. The motion
carried. Comrade Paul Martin will be in
charge of purchasing batteries.
