Subject: DVNF E-Newsletter: Recognizing Women Veterans

Dear Robert,
This March, We Recognize Women Veterans
March is Women's History Month, and we want to send some special recognition to the brave women who have served in the Armed Forces!
We thank you for your great sacrifices, and recognize the tremendous and positive impact you have had on our military. Here are a few tidbits that you may find interesting about women veterans.

Service Dog Initiative Still Going On!
As we've mentioned, service dogs are a quickly growing trend in the fight to help veterans with PTSD and TBI overcome the many challenges they often face.
Your support can go a long way to helping us meet our $50,000 goal that will pair a veteran in need with a service dog to help them recover, and regain independence! If you aren't convinced, take a look at just how much service dogs can really make a difference in a veteran's life!
11 Service Members Presumed Dead In Helicopter Crash
It's with a heavy heart that I'm reaching out to you today. Seven Marines and four soldiers were in a helicopter crash the evening of March 10, near Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
And sadly, all 11 are presumed dead.
This tragedy should remind all of us of the great risks our men and women of the armed forces face on a daily basis. They are willing to put themselves in harm's way to protect our great nation.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these individuals, and we hope that you recognize that there are so many heroes all around us.
Sincerely,
Joseph VanFonda (USMC SgtMaj Ret.)
