FW: Joint Effort to End a Crisis

Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible;
 and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

Subject: Joint Effort to End a Crisis

Dear Robert,
I mentioned a few weeks ago how important volunteering is to veterans, and just how much they appreciate it.
According to the VA, homelessness among veterans has decreased by 33 percent since 2010, which is extremely positive, but even more needs to be done!

DVNF will attend a stand down in Miami on May 1-3, hosted by the Florida Veterans Foundation. We sent a shipment of clothing, health, and hygiene supplies through our Health & Comfort to the event, and will help pass the items out to the 300-plus veterans expected to attend.
We just posted a new blog that does a good job of showing how the efforts of community organizations, national organizations, the VA, and local volunteers are working together to get these veterans back on track.
If you're looking for ways to help, you can donate $25, $50, $100, or even more, to DVNF today, and support our programs and services like Health & Comfort!
If you want to volunteer to give hands-on help to veterans in need, click this link now to find opportunities in your area! It takes a community effort, and together, we can remind these men and women that their service to our country will never be forgotten!
Sincerely,
Joseph VanFonda (USMC SgtMaj Ret.)
CEO
DVNF
